Ordinary Time
Love can speak without a single word. Love speaks in dance, missions, art, nature, civil protests, and relationships. With God, you have a voice. Through you, God speaks to the world.
So pause and ask, how is God speaking through you?
The Lord responded,Ā āDonāt say, āIām only a child.āĀ Where I send you, you must go;Ā what I tell you, you must say.Ā Donāt be afraid of them,Ā because Iām with you to rescue you,āĀ declares the Lord.
Jeremiah 1:7-8
Step up, rise up, and speak out. You have no excuse. Period. Thatās what God was saying to Jeremiah and thatās what God is saying to you. You are called to speak no matter your circumstances or your limitations. The world needs you.
An unknown author once said, āGod does not call the qualified. God qualifies the called.ā
Have faith knowing that God can and will use you to bring heaven to earth. The call is difficult, and the journey is challenging, but you are capable of doing amazing things. That is how God made you. So donāt bother with any excuses, because you are better than that. Instead, step up, rise up, and speak out.
Ed Stallworth
Lord, work in me so that others may see you through me. Give me the strength to step up, rise up, and speak out. Amen.
Francis Assisi once said, āPreach the Gospel at all times; when necessary use words.ā
May God walk with you, work in you, and speak through you because of the life you live.
