Pause

God is speaking all the time. It's up to us to listen, to have our hearts open to hear.

You have before you a wonderful opportunity, a chance once again to listen for the quiet voice of God. Open your heart now to hear.

Listen

As unknown, and yet are well known; as dying, and see — we are alive; as punished, and yet not killed; as sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing everything.

2 Corinthians 6:9-10

Think

In life and in death, we belong to God. Sometimes we may think that we were made broken and it is only beyond this life and outside our bodies that we can and will be made whole again. But God does not make an imperfect creation. God made us and all creation whole and complete, and called everything that was made good.

Our completeness includes the ability and choice to respond to God’s love and be in relationship with God. When we respond to the invitation, God’s kingdom indeed comes to us, here and now. Choosing to relate to the One who created us and chose us is not a one-time act; it is continual and active. We don’t have to fake it. We can choose each day to be true and authentic and alive in God so that the promise becomes fulfilled. We are fully alive, rejoicing and possessing the full life God created for us, no matter what else may happen.

Pray

As I open my heart to you, I also open my life and my hands. Give me the strength and the resources to serve you and to serve your creation. Walk with me as I walk with you. Amen.

Go

Will your heart be open
To hear what God will say?
Will your eyes be clear
So you can follow in God's way?
God is speaking.
Listen now.
The way is clear.
Follow.
