Change is hard for everyone. Even when it’s obvious that doing something different is the better way to go, we always seem to encounter opposition. Sometimes that resistance comes from others, but often we find it welling up from deep inside ourselves.

God has something new in mind for us, but we have to decide that we are willing to go there. No kicking and screaming!

So get ready for something new. Hopefully, you will recognize its value and receive it—gladly!

Think

I am always amazed at makeovers, how a person looks so different with new clothes, a new haircut, and maybe some new makeup. It’s like looking at a new person. For the person having the makeover, it’s a once in a lifetime experience.

Unlike the physical makeovers I like watching, God’s is not a once in a lifetime experience. When God says, “I am making all things new,” God does not mean “I am making all things new and walking away from it.” Alpha and Omega. Beginning and end. God has been here since the beginning, and God will be here from now on. God is making us new, but we still need God. And God is still here for us.

Good news! Even in the midst of making all things new, God is still about dispensing living water—beginning and end and in the midst of.
