God continues to do amazing things for those who realize how valuable they are and seek first the kingdom of God.
Take time now to seek the place where God reigns, beginning in your own heart. Then watch for the amazing things that God causes all around.
And the Holy Spirit also testifies to us, for after saying, “This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says the Lord: I will put my laws in their hearts, and I will write them on their minds,” he also adds, “I will remember their sins and their lawless deeds no more.” Where there is forgiveness of these, there is no longer any offering for sin.
Hebrews 10:15-18
Today’s Scripture verses remind me of a movie called “Places in the Heart,” a story set in the South during the Great Depression. It’s about racial prejudice and those who are “differently abled.” At the very end of the film there is a powerful scene where all of God’s children receive communion together — black, white, blind, and others.
Forgiveness and reconciliation are among life’s most powerful experiences, and in Christ’s sacrifice we see and experience God’s amazing love. The Spirit testifies in our hearts and minds; we have a new internal covenant that brings freedom from sin and guilt.
