My soul is the essence of who I am, my very being. It is the boundless, timeless, passionate part of me. It is my authentic spiritual self.
What does it mean to honor my authentic spiritual self today?
What does it mean to love God with my soul?

Love should be shown without pretending. Hate evil, and hold on to what is good. Love each other like the members of your family. Be the best at showing honor to each other. Don’t hesitate to be enthusiastic—be on fire in the Spirit as you serve the Lord!

Be on fire in the Spirit!
God wants our souls to be alive in faith, to be enthusiastic in engaging the life we have been given. To show love with abandon. To condemn evil. To serve with passion.
Don’t be like Eeyore, seeing every day as a burden. Be hopeful, always looking for a way to find and lift up what is good.
God is calling you to a greater understanding of the purpose and calling for your life. That’s exciting stuff! Approach this opportunity for self-discovery without hesitation, for God has set you on a great journey.

Creator, show me the way to embrace the love, passion, and enthusiasm inside of me. Help me to be on fire in the Spirit as I find new ways to use my gifts to live into my calling as a child of God. Amen.
