What would it be like to see Jesus - really see Jesus - just as he was, and just as he is? Chances are, no matter what our current ideas, if we saw Jesus clearly we would be surprised.

Seeing Jesus clearly is not a matter simply of his physical makeup, but of the character and spirit of who Jesus is.

Take time for another look at Jesus now, and prepare to learn something new about how you see him.

Listen

Those who love their life lose it, and those who hate their life in this world will keep it for eternal life. Whoever serves me must follow me, and where I am, there will my servant be also. Whoever serves me, the Father will honor.

John 12:25-26

Think

What ONE word describes you? What FIVE things represent you? Would you rather be known by a word, by five things, or by being a follower of Jesus?

Jesus says that we must be willing to be servants for God. Jesus said that we must be willing to be the presence of Christ. Jesus said that if we do these things, then God will honor us. How cool is that?

All the words and stuff that people might say to describe us is not nearly as outstanding as having God honor us, on earth and in heaven!

Pray

God of heaven and earth, help me to honor you with my life. Help me be more concerned about being a servant and a presence of Christ than about how my life might be described. Amen.

Go

Look there at Jesus.
Who do you see?
Messiah,
Friend,
Leader,
Life-changer,
Champion,
God-revealer.

Follow him.
