Ordinary Time
These moments are just for you. There are some big ideas just ahead, so take a moment to gather yourself.
It is a BIG God who has been made known to us through Christ. May you feel and know Christ now in fullness of truth and purpose.
Because all the fullness of God was pleased to live in him, and he reconciled all things to himself through him— whether things on earth or in the heavens. He brought peace through the blood of his cross.
Colossians 1:19-20
Reconciliation. There are many who believe that this is what our Big God is all about. What God is working towards is ultimately the restoration of all of Creation – and all created things – to the big idea God had at the beginning – a Creation in harmony with itself and with God.
The Bible gives witness to this from beginning to end. The biggest single event in the biblical story is when God in Christ comes into the world through Jesus – full of God and providing the example of what it means to experience that fullness in oneself.
And here again is yet another mind-blowing, truly cosmic idea – that the God who brought everything into being then reached out to human beings, fragile and weak as we are, to help bring it all into the form God intends.

God, thank you for making all the world and all of creation, including me.
Help me to see and be part of what you intend the world to be.
Amen.
Go now with the confidence that the same Christ who was before the beginning of Creation is also with you, inside you, to empower and bless you.
Be a blessing then also to those you encounter today.
