I have a very big God who is always by my side,
a very big God, by my side, by my side.

You have a very big God who is always by your side,
a very big God, by your side, by your side.

We have a very big God O, who is always by our side,
a very big God O, by our side, by our side.

But not only that! We even take pride in our problems, because we know that trouble produces endurance, endurance produces character, and character produces hope. This hope doesn’t put us to shame, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.

Romans 5:3-5

Think

God’s love is poured into our hearts. Yes, that means you too. The Holy Spirit reminds us that we are loved by God and have the capability to love others as we are loved. Sometimes it is hard to feel or understand God’s love when so much hate and wickedness drown it out in the world. It is as if God has left us to our self-destruction. We need to find a way to rekindle hope, to learn again how to love one another.

God’s love is not available to only a select few. This availability reminds me of a song we used to sing growing up: “Jesus’ love is very wonderful, it’s so high you can’t get over it, it’s so low you can’t get under it, it’s so wide you can’t get around it, O wonderful love.” God’s love reaches far and wide, farther than we can imagine. That love brings hope and motivates us to love one another.

Pray

Dear God, I am grateful you care enough to love me.

As I face a hurting and troubling world, help me live out your love and keep hope alive.

Amen.

Go

Go, keep walking your journey through life, and know that you do not walk alone as you walk.

A big God walks with you in all the places you go.
