Ordinary Time

Pause

On your mark: You’re here. You showed up. That matters.

Get Set: Pause. Breathe. Let your heart catch up.

Be still for a moment. Let the Spirit move.

And listen for God’s truth.

Listen

But everybody who hears these words of mine and doesn’t put them into practice will be like a fool who built a house on sand. The rain fell, the floods came, and the wind blew and beat against that house. It fell and was completely destroyed.

Matthew 7:26-27

Think

Jesus says following him isn’t just about listening—it’s about living. It’s the difference between building on sand and digging down to solid rock.

It’s not just about knowing the right things. A lot of people know what Jesus teaches. But knowing isn’t what builds a strong life—practice does.

It’s what you do with it. It shows up in how you treat people. In what you choose when things get hard. In how you forgive, tell the truth, and choose love.

Faith isn’t just something you believe in your head. It’s something you live with your life, over and over again.

So we start now. In small ways. A kind word. Including someone who’s left out. Doing the right thing when no one’s watching. Every time you practice what Jesus teaches, you’re digging deeper. You’re building your life on something real.

And when life gets hard, you won’t fall apart, because you’ve been practicing strength and faith, one small choice at a time.

Question to Ponder:

What’s one small way you could practice your faith this week—not just think about it?

Pray

God, help me not just hear your words, but live them. Show me how to choose what is right, even when it’s hard. Teach me to love, to be kind, and to live with honesty. Build my life on what is strong and true. Amen.

Go

Go. You’re ready.

Start practicing today. Look for one simple way to build your life on God.

Start small. Pay attention. Notice where God is already at work.

God is with you, always.

And even the smallest step of faith can begin to grow something strong.
