The creator of heaven and earth knows you and wants to show care for your life every day.

Reflection on Psalm 27:4

Listen

But your loyal love, Lord, extends to the skies; your faithfulness reaches the clouds. Your righteousness is like the strongest mountains; your justice is like the deepest sea. Lord, you save both humans and animals.

Psalm 36:5-6

Think

Have you ever taken a moment to observe God’s creation around you? There are very small elements that show us the delicacy and detail of nature. There are also huge parts, such as the sky, the mountains, and the sea, so large and majestic that not even modern science has been able to fully explore them.

It is beautiful how the psalmist uses the elements of nature: the sky, the mountains, and the sea, to describe God’s care for us. This lets us know that God does not miss the details of our lives. God cares about us so much that God couldn’t just love us from a distance. God’s love, faithfulness, justice, and care took human form in Jesus as God drew near to us and gave us the incomparable gift of salvation. The same God who created the heavens and the earth takes care of you today, tomorrow, and forever!
