Ordinary Time

Pause

Stop thinking about today.

Reach out to God now.

Listen for God’s voice.

Listen

I will lift you up high, my God, the true king. I will bless your name forever and always. I will bless you every day. I will praise your name forever and always. The Lord is great and so worthy of praise! God’s greatness can’t be grasped.

Psalm 145:1-3

Think

King David says, “I WILL lift you up high, I WILL bless your name, I WILL bless you every day.” He is determined to praise God always, and that means through every situation, good or bad!

Sometimes it is difficult to praise and thank God if we have doubts, fear, or confusion in our lives. Yet, if we can put that aside and are determined, like David, trusting the one who loves us so deeply, we can begin to thank, worship, and praise God and change our perspective on the cares that weigh us down. David says God is worthy of our praise. Will you praise God today?

God is completely committed to us in every way, and we are called to be committed and generous in loving and praising God always.

Question to Ponder:

How can you be generous in praise to God today, even if you do not feel like it?

Pray

God, you are so worthy of praise and worship because you are a wonderful God and Savior. Help me to think about all that you mean to me and to praise you today and every day. Amen.

Go

Go in the strength God gives you. Be generous, not judgmental toward others, and in this way share God’s love and compassion as you live.
