Pause

It's always nice to go to a place where you feel comfortable and at home. But it's another thing to leave a sense of well-being and venture into the unknown.

Jesus calls us to be with him, but his call is also to go, to move into areas that are unfamiliar and even foreboding.

Still, it is good to remember that Jesus' promise is to be with us no matter where we roam. That promise holds for you now.

Listen

"Whoever listens to you listens to me, and whoever rejects you rejects me, and whoever rejects me rejects the one who sent me."

Luke 10:16

Think

Have you figured it out yet? It is simple, I promise.

Christ is in us! As we speak the message of Christ to everyone, whether we are welcomed or not, we speak on Christ’s behalf. As we walk through this world showing love, mercy, peace, and forgiveness, we are showing a reflection of Christ. We are made in God’s image, so we might as well share with the world the amazing traits of God.

When we speak, they also hear Christ. When they accept us and the message we bring, in some ways they are accepting Christ and the message he has brought to the world.

Timothy Peoples

Pray

Lord, I am made in your image. Help me today to share the traits that are in us both. Help me to be a reflection of you. Amen.

Go

Go.

Go where you are needed.

Go where you will find God –
In the eyes and
In the faces
Of God's beloved ones.

This is where you are being sent.

This is where you will find your work and,
Eventually,
Where you will find yourself again at home.
