Ordinary Time

Pause

Some may say there is much to fear.

But see what obstacles we’ve overcome!

For the Lord has been walking with us every step of the journey and will continue to. Forever.

If God is for us, who can be against us?

Listen

Don’t be anxious about anything; rather, bring up all of your requests to God in your prayers and petitions, along with giving thanks. Then the peace of God that exceeds all understanding will keep your hearts and minds safe in Christ Jesus.

Philippians 4:6-7

Think

Have you ever tried to build something specific without any directions? Something like putting together a chair takes exact steps in order to make sure that it is safe for someone to sit on. Without those directions to make it complete, it may be more likely that someone falls or hurts themselves.

Today’s scripture brings us perfect directions on what we can do if we are anxious. Instead of focusing on something that can cause us to worry to the point that we become sick, we can give our worries to God. And what a wonderful solution that is! We have the ability to give what bothers us most to the One that can fix anything and everything.

What’s bothering you today? What is on your to-do list that’s causing anxious thoughts? Whatever it may be, know that the Lord is able to guide you to victory in any circumstance.

Pray

Lord, thank you for your divine direction. May I give everything to you today that I am worrying about and may I feel your peace that surpasses even my understanding. Amen.

Go

Remember the words of Jesus as you go forth today:

“Look, I myself will be with you every day until the end of this present age.” (Matthew 28:20)
