Ordinary Time

Pause

Some may say there is much to fear.

But see what obstacles we’ve overcome!

For the Lord has been walking with us every step of the journey and will continue to. Forever.

If God is for us, who can be against us?

Listen

On this mountain, the Lord of heavenly forces will prepare for all peoples a rich feast, a feast of choice wines, of select foods rich in flavor, of choice wines well refined. He will swallow up on this mountain the veil that is veiling all peoples, the shroud enshrouding all nations. He will swallow up death forever. The Lord God will wipe tears from every face; he will remove his people’s disgrace from off the whole earth, for the Lord has spoken.

Isaiah 25:6-8

Think

The word “will” is such a powerful word. It expresses that something is going to happen, regardless of any difficulties that may come. It indicates a promise. We find the word “will” throughout today’s scripture and see that not only will God give us many great gifts, God will also destroy the things that are looking to destroy us.

That promise that God made to us is found to be perfect in Jesus. Jesus destroyed death, tore the veil, and brought eternal life to us. Jesus completed everything that we could hope for and through Jesus, we have realized God’s love for us. What a blessing this truly is!

God is love. And in love, there is no fear (1 John 4:18).

Remember the words of Jesus as you go forth today:

“Look, I myself will be with you every day until the end of this present age.” (Matthew 28:20)
