Ordinary Time
I give you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, so you also must love each other.
John 13:34
Declare God’s glory among the nations; declare his wondrous works among all people because the Lord is great and so worthy of praise. He is awesome beyond all other gods because all the gods of the nations are just idols, but it is the Lord who created heaven! Greatness and grandeur are in front of him; strength and beauty are in his sanctuary.
Psalm 96:3-6
We are born with special gifts that only the Creator knows, and we have opportunities to share those gifts in our homes, communities, and world. You may not know your gift yet, but your close friends and family do. One of the special things we learn is that God wants you to spread God’s love in the world for your sake and for the sake of others. We need to hear and feel your story. Only you can attest to God’s wondrous love in your life, and by spreading the word, others can understand how God is working in their lives.
We are also called to worship God in all glory because we want to declare God’s true work as part of God’s mission to save the world. Your words can bring someone closer to understanding God’s love.

Question to Ponder:
What one gift do you have that could be useful for sharing God’s love with others?
Creator God, thank you for putting me where I am and for the many opportunities around me.
I ask for your guidance and strength to spread your love in my community.
Thank you for the people you put in my life to guide me.
Amen.
I give thanks to you with all my heart, Lord. I sing your praise before all other gods. I bow toward your holy temple and thank your name for your loyal love and faithfulness because you have made your name and word greater than everything else. On the day I cried out, you answered me. You encouraged me with inner strength.
