Can you believe that it is already time to start a new school year?! I always loved the first week back. Even though I attended the same school with the same people from kindergarten to 12th grade, each August felt like a fresh start! It was a new opportunity for me to tackle the grade ahead of me in a new light.

Just like you get to start fresh with your homework assignments and grades, you get to start fresh with your habits and commitments, too. What would it look like if you committed your school year to the Lord? How could you choose to delight in God’s presence in your life as you take on a new grade?

Loving God, I ask for your help as I begin this new school year.

Help me to experience your presence in the hallways and among my friends.
