Ordinary Time

Pause

To live in relationship with God is to open my heart every day to God’s wisdom, love, and Spirit, allowing God to transform my life.

Listen

Doesn’t Wisdom cry out and Understanding shout? Atop the heights along the path, at the crossroads she takes her stand. By the gate before the city, at the entrances she shouts:

I cry out to you, people; my voice goes out to all of humanity.

Proverbs 8:1-4

Think

We can find wisdom in countless places like TikTok, Instagram, friends, and self-help books. I don’t doubt that we can hear something positive in these media, as they are accessible to us and provide us with instant information, but in them you won’t always find the wisdom you need. On the other hand, God is just as accessible to us, but we do not always seek God as we should.

God’s wisdom is active, it is accessible, it is part of everyday life, and it helps us make decisions according to what we need and not what we want. Wisdom is part of God’s nature and, in approaching that wisdom, we exercise an act of faith that seeks a deeper relationship with God. Through God’s wisdom we can receive fullness of joy for our daily lives.

Question to Ponder:

What sources or places are you approaching to seek wisdom?

God, may your wisdom guide me in the midst of my journey, to live in fullness of joy with you. Amen.
