Journey to the Cross
If you can dream it, you can create it with God’s help. “Glory to God, who is able to do far beyond all that we could ask or imagine by his power at work within us.”
Ephesians 3:20
Don’t remember the prior things; don’t ponder ancient history. Look! I’m doing a new thing; now it sprouts up; don’t you recognize it? I’m making a way in the desert, paths in the wilderness.
Isaiah 43:18-19
God invites us not to get stuck in old hurts, failures, or difficulties, but to trust that God is doing something new in our lives. At times, we may feel that our circumstances are a desert, lifeless or meaningless, but God promises to bring water (life) in those dry and difficult places, opening paths where there seems to be no way out.
We are called to dream of a new life, to let God transform what seems lost and to trust that the new thing God has for us is better than what we leave behind. The invitation is to have faith in the process of transformation, knowing that God is able to create a different reality, full of possibilities, even when we do not see the future clearly. This passage invites us to let go of the past and open our hearts to the new that God wants to give us. A new beginning full of hope and a life with a greater purpose. Dare to dream!

Question to Ponder:
What is it that your heart desires for your future?
Lord Jesus, I believe, but increase my faith. Holy Spirit, help me to cast out the fears and limiting thoughts that keep me from living the abundant life you have promised me. And remind me that your power and grace can do much more than I could ever ask or imagine. Amen.
Remember that God has created you to live a full and abundant life. Don’t let the difficulties of this life rob you of joy and hope. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus and his faithful promises.
