Recently I was sharing with the youth of my church, and we did several activities. One of them was to blindfold a young man and ask him to walk according to the instructions he heard. Although this young man could not see where he was going, he had to trust and obey the voice he heard in order to reach his goal.

Life is like that. Some people want the whole plan in order to walk through life, but God doesn’t usually operate that way. God leads us day by day. Not knowing everything the future holds requires us to live by faith, and that is what God desires. By faith, we take each step that God has shown us, and then God gives us the next step. Sometimes we may fall, but we can be thankful that God helps us to get up. God expects us to trust because God knows what is best for our lives.

God, forgive me for making my own way, but thank you that you walk beside me. I appreciate you teaching me one step at a time.
