Certainly the faithful love of the Lord hasn’t ended…Great is your faithfulness.

Lamentations 3:22–23

Listen

We have the same faithful spirit as what is written in scripture: I had faith, and so I spoke. We also have faith, and so we also speak. We do this because we know that the one who raised the Lord Jesus will also raise us with Jesus, and he will bring us into his presence along with you. All these things are for your benefit. As grace increases to benefit more and more people, it will cause gratitude to increase, which results in God’s glory.

2 Corinthians 4:13-15

Think

Being a witness by what we say and do in our lives takes faith and courage. Paul, the writer of our scripture for today, is strengthened in his faith by trusting that he has the same Spirit as Christ to speak boldly. Paul trusts God. He believes that what scripture tells us about God being faithful to people is true, and that is why he can talk about his faith with boldness.

Paul believes that the same Spirit who raised Jesus from the dead lives in the followers of Jesus, strengthening them, empowering them, and faithfully bringing them into God’s eternal kingdom and presence. We also have God’s Spirit living in us. This means we have the mind and heart of God available to us, and we can speak boldly in faith with love. We can know that God is with us no matter what. This is something to be truly grateful for!

Question to Ponder:

What does it mean to have the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead living in you?

Pray

God, thank you for your Spirit. Thank you for your grace and for your faithfulness. Empower me today to speak with love and share my faith boldly.

Amen.

Go

Go into the world today knowing that you are a child of God. God goes before you, Christ is within you, and the Holy Spirit will guide you. God is faithful, and God’s love for you never ends.
