Following the Star
As we behold the glory of the Lord with unveiled faces, we are being transformed to reflect God’s image more and more. This transformation is a work of the Spirit, moving us from one degree of glory to another.
Paraphrase of 2 Corinthians 3:18
And over all these things put on love, which is the perfect bond of unity. The peace of Christ must control your hearts—a peace into which you were called in one body. And be thankful people.
Colossians 3:14-15
Love is like the glue that holds everything together. Literally, it is through love that God created the world! In Colossians 3, St. Paul reminds us that love isn’t just one of many virtues—it’s the most important one. Compassion, kindness, humility, and patience all flow from a heart full of love. When we grow in Jesus, he teaches us how to love like he does.
But love isn’t just a feeling; it’s an action. It means showing kindness even when it’s hard and forgiving when it doesn’t feel fair. When you choose love, it creates unity, whether it’s in your family, your friend group, or your church.
St. Paul also talks about letting the peace of Christ rule in our hearts. Growing in Jesus means giving God control, especially when life feels chaotic. God’s peace can calm your fears and help you make decisions that honor God. Let love and peace shape how you grow in Jesus every day.

Question to Ponder:
How can I let Christ’s love and peace guide me today?
Lord, help me choose love today. Let Jesus’s peace guide me, and let love shape me more into your image and likeness. Amen.
God chose us in advance to be shaped into the likeness of God’s Son, so that Jesus would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters.
