After you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, the one who called you into his eternal glory in Christ Jesus, will himself restore, empower, strengthen, and establish you. To him be power forever and always. Amen.

Think

The glory of God does not mean the absence of suffering. To be human means to experience both the highs and the lows, the joy and the sorrow. God is present with us through all these things. God will comfort us when things get hard. God will celebrate our victories with us.

No matter our circumstance, God offers us love that is always right there, available to us if we just take a moment to seek it out. This supportive relationship illustrates the grace of God that is freely given without reservation to each one of us.

We are called to rejoice in the way God’s love is present in our life every single day, offering us just what we need when we need it. How will you rejoice today?

Loving God, you show up for me over and over again. Help me to know the power of your love and to look for you not only when I am in need but when I have more than enough. You are worthy of my praise. Amen.
