God didn’t send his Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him isn’t judged; whoever doesn’t believe in him is already judged, because they don’t believe in the name of God’s only Son.

Have you ever seen those videos of animals being rescued from really tough circumstances? It’s hard to watch them at the beginning. But occasionally I watch them because I have hope that someone is about to take them in and show them what it feels like to be safe and loved. It usually takes a little time. It can be hard to recognize and believe in real love if you have never really encountered it.

God sent Jesus to save us, not to judge us, because we are loved! We don’t have to earn God’s love. We just have to believe that the LOVE is real.

You are worth so much more to God. Lean into the open arms of God’s love and the “welcome home” that is offered to you today.

Dear God, when I am afraid or uncertain of what is ahead, help me to remember your unconditional love. May my actions seek to reflect your love. Amen.
