Ordinary Time
Breathe in God’s love…
Breathe out hope in Jesus Christ…
Breathe in the goodness of the Holy Spirit…
Wiggle your toes…
Place your hands on your heart…
Take one more deep breath…
Amen
Teach me your way, Lord, so that I can walk in your truth. Make my heart focused only on honoring your name. I give thanks to you, my Lord, my God, with all my heart, and I will glorify your name forever, because your faithful love toward me is awesome and because you’ve rescued my life from the lowest part of hell.
Psalm 86:11-13
When do you give thanks and praise to God?
That’s the best feeling in the world: to give God your utmost thanks and praise! This psalm encourages us to give thanks and praise to God and to glorify the name of God at all times! During the pandemic, I developed a heightened awareness about the simple things for which I ought to give God thanks and praise. I give God praise when the perfect breeze hits my neck on the golf course. I give God praise when my favorite sports teams run out before a game and after the games when players stay safe. I give God thanks every morning when I walk my dog Bubba or when I spend time watching TV with my wife.
Remember, at all times in your life, even in the simple or mundane, you can give God thanks and praise. As the psalmist tells us, God has great steadfast love towards us, and we glorify God for that.

Question to Ponder:
Think of three things that you want to give God thanks for. What are those three things?
God, I give you thanks for all things. Help me to find new ways to pause and give you praise.
I thank you for your steadfast love. Help me to share that love with all people.
In Jesus name, amen.
Receive now this shortened blessing of Saint Patrick, as sung by musician Steve Bell in his song, “The Lorica”:
“Be above me, as high as the noonday sun.
Be below me, the rock I set my feet upon.
Be beside me, the wind on my left and right.
Be behind me, oh circle me with your truth and light.”
Amen
