Love will not be denied, will not be shut out.
Love overcomes every barrier.

Love is here for you now.
Drop your defenses and open now your heart.
Love is here.
Love is here.

When you are ready, click on “The Word of God” below for today's scripture and then continue to follow the remaining steps of the devotion.

Listen

And the Word became flesh and lived among us, and we have seen his glory, the glory as of a father’s only son, full of grace and truth.

(John testified to him and cried out, “This was he of whom I said, ‘He who comes after me ranks ahead of me because he was before me.’”) From his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace. The law indeed was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. No one has ever seen God. It is God the only Son, who is close to the Father’s heart, who has made him known.

John 1:14-18

Think

Finally.

Finally all we have hoped and dreamed for our world, for our lives, has come from a vague, far-off idea to real life flesh and blood. Jesus has come to live among us, God with skin on.

We don’t ever have to wonder if God understands what our lives are like; Jesus is here. We don’t ever have to wonder what God is like; Jesus is here. We don’t ever have to cower under the heavy weight of the law; Jesus is here. And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us…Jesus is here.

Blessed Christmas.
