Ordinary Time
Let’s share a breath prayer. Three beats on the inhale, thinking, “God is holy.”
Hold one beat, thinking, “And.”
Exhale for three beats, thinking, “I am holy.”
Try it three times! “God is holy – and – I am holy.”
Come back to us, Lord! Please, quick! Have some compassion for your servants! Fill us full every morning with your faithful love so we can rejoice and celebrate our whole life long.
Let your acts be seen by your servants; let your glory be seen by their children. Let the kindness of the Lord our God be over us. Make the work of our hands last. Make the work of our hands last!
Psalm 90:13-14, 16-17
It is not always easy to practice holiness. Sometimes we say and do things that we are not proud of. At times like these, God may seem far away. The truth is, God is always as near to you as the beat of your heart or the breath in your lungs.
The moment we realize we have done something wrong, we can turn around and make a different choice. It is never a bad time to do the right thing, and whenever we do so, God is pleased!
Is there anything that you need to confess to God today? Are there ways that you can be more like Jesus? Are there people you can be kinder to? Ask God to help you start over and give you the wisdom to be like Jesus. May the kindness of the Lord our God be over us.

Question to Ponder:
How did you make it right the last time you made a poor choice?
Jesus, please forgive me for all of the things I have said and done that do not please you. Help me to make better choices. Let my life reflect your goodness. Amen.
As you go about your day, intentionally seek opportunities to be more like Jesus. How can you increase your love, care, or gentleness toward others? Make it your goal to practice one random act of kindness today.
