I thank my God every time I mention you in my prayers. I’m thankful for all of you every time I pray, and it’s always a prayer full of joy.

Philippians 1:3-4

Think

Regardless of what our stories look like, we all have people for whom we’re thankful. They are people who have made a difference in our own lives through their support, acts of love, challenge, and encouragement. These people have helped shape us into who we are today. They’re the people whom we see making a difference in the world and who inspire us to do the same.

Today, take some time to make a list of these people and some of the reasons why you are thankful for them. You may do it mentally or you may choose to write an actual list. Take time to thank God in prayer for each of them as well. You may find a deep joy welling up in you as you remember them. And if possible, reach out and tell them of your gratitude for who they are and what they’ve done.

None of us get to be who or where we are on our own. Give thanks today for the life-changing and world-changing people you know.
