Journey to the Cross

Pause

Move the immovable
Break the unbreakable
God, we believe
God, we believe for it
From the impossible
We’ll see a miracle
God, we believe
God, we believe for it

“Believe For It” by CeCe Winans

Listen

Future descendants will serve him; generations to come will be told about my Lord. They will proclaim God’s righteousness to those not yet born, telling them what God has done.

Psalm 22:30-31

Think

In these verses, the psalmist speaks of a legacy, a story meant to be shared across generations. It’s a narrative of God’s faithfulness, righteousness, and mighty deeds, not confined to a specific time but transcending through ages. Think of it as a relay race of faith, passing the baton of belief from one generation to the next. We inherit stories and values from our familial ancestors, and we’re entrusted with the sacred duty of passing them forward to the next generation.

Imagine the impact of sharing God’s goodness with those not yet born, the future generations of our world. We receive stories of faith from those who have gone before us, and their stories help us believe. As we live out our own stories of faith, we share them with those who come after us, helping them receive the stories that will shape their faith. Our lives are interconnected threads in a larger tapestry of faith. Each story we tell, each testimony we share, becomes a part of that intricate design.
