Journey to the Cross
“Christ has died. Christ is risen. Christ will come again.”
The risen Christ desires deeper relationship with us all. Let us walk faithfully as disciples of Jesus Christ. Let us study God’s Word for our lives.
Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you. As the Father sent me, so I am sending you.” Then he breathed on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive anyone’s sins, they are forgiven; if you don’t forgive them, they aren’t forgiven.”
John 20:21-23
“As the Father has sent me, so I send you.” Christ is sending us where? To do what? Christ gives his disciples no instruction, but only says they are sent. Then he breathes on them the breath of the Holy Spirit.
We do not go alone. We have been given the Holy Spirit. It is the same Spirit that gave us life in the beginning of creation, and the same Spirit that dwelled in Christ. This Spirit sends us forth in power to declare the risen Lord.
What places is Christ calling you to go? How will you tell others about the Savior? The Holy Spirit guides you and empowers you, just as the Spirit did with the early disciples. What an amazing adventure, that we are sent with the Holy Spirit’s power to tell others of God’s love!

Christ, send me out in your Spirit’s power so that I might tell others of your love. Help me to trust in the Holy Spirit that lives in me. Remind me that I am not alone. And make me your disciple. Amen.
“Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I am sending you.”
John 20:21
Where is Christ sending you today? How are you called to share Christ’s peace with others?
