Journey to the Cross

Pause

“Christ has died. Christ is risen. Christ will come again.”

The risen Christ desires deeper relationship with us all. Let us walk faithfully as disciples of Jesus Christ. Let us study God’s Word for our lives.

Listen

Thomas responded to Jesus, “My Lord and my God!”

Jesus replied, “Do you believe because you see me? Happy are those who don’t see and yet believe.”

John 20:28-29

Think

Thomas felt Christ’s wounds and believed, saying, “My Lord and my God!” But Jesus says, “Blessed are those who don’t see and yet believe.”

Faith in Christ is the ability to believe without always seeing. Christ delights in strong faith when it is hard to see. Think of those times in your life where it may have been difficult to see Christ, but still you believed. There are lots of things that can get in our way of believing… like grief, fear, anxiety, and more. But when we cling to Christ in those times, we grow deeper in our faith, and we become closer to God.

Today, find ways to go deeper in faith and share your belief in the risen Lord.

Pray

Lord, thank you for your Son, Jesus Christ. I pray that I might grow deeper in my faith in Jesus. Help me to believe and to share my faith with others. Amen.

Go

“Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I am sending you.”

John 20:21

Where is Christ sending you today? How are you called to share Christ’s peace with others?
