The Son is the image of the invisible God, the one who is first over all creation,

Because all things were created by him: both in the heavens and on the earth, the things that are visible and the things that are invisible. Whether they are thrones or powers, or rulers or authorities, all things were created through him and for him.

He existed before all things, and all things are held together in him.

Colossians 1:15-17

Have you ever felt like your life was falling apart? It can be terrifying when the threads of your life start pulling at the seams, unraveling before your eyes.

The power of Jesus Christ reminds us that God’s love holds all things together. Jesus was there in the beginning. All things were created through him and find their purpose in him. Jesus holds the world together – from creation right up to this moment. And Jesus is here for you today, holding all the pieces of your life together.

When things fall apart, we can hold out the pieces to Christ and trust that he will help us bind up all the parts and weave the loose strands back into place.

God, my refuge, may I trust you to hold the pieces of my life with me today.

Help me with the burdens that come my way.
