Ordinary Time
Settle my soul.
Ease my anxious thoughts.
Calm my beating heart.
He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the one who is firstborn from among the dead so that he might occupy the first place in everything.
Because all the fullness of God was pleased to live in him, and he reconciled all things to himself through him— whether things on earth or in the heavens. He brought peace through the blood of his cross.
Colossians 1:18-20
Peace is not easy to come by in a world full of broken pieces. Peace is hard to find, especially when your life gets busy and all the moving pieces scatter around you.
Today, try slowing everything down. Give yourself more time between classes or work meetings. Allot thirty minutes of time during your day to take a walk outside in nature. Or find a quiet place to be still and close your eyes and breathe.
Jesus is ready to give us peace each day, if only we are open to receive it. All you need to do is harness the power of peace by making more space for a little extra grace in your day.

God my refuge, slow my feet, slow my mind, slow my busy day down.
Give me courage to take breaks and make more space for your grace and your peace to flow throughout my day.
Amen.
Take courage.
Trust in the Lord.
God is your refuge.
