It's a small thing. But a seed contains within it as much potential as anything you might imagine.

Within the context of the universe, each of our lives is small and of relatively little consequence. But we all contain within us great potential as well.

The seed of faith will germinate into great things wherever it is tended well. Take time now for the garden that is your life.

You have been entrusted with an amazing gift. This gift is a world-changing, life-giving treasure that can bring you joy each and every day. It can give meaning to your life and make a difference in the world all at the same time. What is it? It’s the good news of the gospel, the truth that Jesus loves you.

As a follower of Jesus Christ, you have been called to respond to this gift by serving as Jesus’ hands and feet in the world. There are hungry people who need to be fed and discouraged people who need to hear God’s message of hope. God needs your unique skills and talents to be put into action!

To make this gift even better, it comes with the support of the Holy Spirit. God’s Spirit is at work in your life, guiding you to be the person that God wants you to be. The Spirit lives in you and gives you what you need to make a difference in the world.

From deep within your soul
Something beautiful is growing –
Wild and wonderful,
Fruitful and free.

Yield now to the gentle care
Of the One who watches over you,
Tending your soul with great love
And infinite confidence.
