We don’t preach about ourselves. Instead, we preach about Jesus Christ as Lord, and we describe ourselves as your slaves for Jesus’ sake. God said that light should shine out of the darkness. He is the same one who shone in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God’s glory in the face of Jesus Christ.

Think

Jesus is always trying to show us a way forward. Being in darkness is necessary from time to time, but not forever. We are meant to take the light of Christ into our lives – not to stay hidden, but to shine brightly. Perhaps you are feeling like you do not have a light to shine today. You might be discouraged or saddened by the state of the world.

Know that God came to show a way forward for us all. To light a path in the darkness for us all.

Does it not feel good to know that someone is always on your side? God is for you and not against you. God is promising hope, support, and encouragement for you.

Dear God, help me see that you are here for me and for my good, always. Show me the light of your love. Amen.
