"How can you tell?"

That's a fair question whenever someone makes a prediction of what is going to happen, or even when they give an explanation for what is happening now.

There are signs for those who will see them. Take time now to watch for the signs God has for you.

Listen

Then God said to Noah and to his sons with him, “As for me, I am establishing my covenant with you and your descendants after you, and with every living creature that is with you, the birds, the domestic animals, and every animal of the earth with you, as many as came out of the ark. I establish my covenant with you, that never again shall all flesh be cut off by the waters of a flood, and never again shall there be a flood to destroy the earth.”

Genesis 9:8-11

Think

“I promise” is one of those things we say all the time when we make an agreement. If it is REALLY serious, we might even “pinky promise,” shaking with our pinkies as a way to seal the deal and add a little oomph to the promise made.

More times than not, we probably break those promises. Life gets busy, we get distracted, and we forget promises that we have made, even the pinky ones.

God does no such thing. God’s promises are never broken. We are promised that no matter what, God will be with us. God promises to give life to all that is around us now and forever, and so we take comfort in the fact that even in our most difficult times, God has promised to be there.

Pray

God, thank you for life. Thank you for the life around me. And thank you for your promise to always be present. Amen.

Go

Go now with open eyes.
Go now with listening ears.
Make your way with the assurance
That God is leading you.
God is providing the signs you need
To see,
To hear,
To find your way.
