Ordinary Time
Sometimes we forget how great God’s love is for us.
May you stop and remember that God loves you, God calls you, God counts on you, and you can count on God.
The Lord’s word came to me:
“Before I created you in the womb I knew you; before you were born I set you apart; I made you a prophet to the nations.”
Jeremiah 1:4-5
It is wonderful to know that someone was interested in us even before we were born. The creator of the universe was interested in your well-being, your development, and your purpose. Have you ever been selected for something: like participation in an event or an extra task? Possibly that made you feel special and at the same time responsible for having to fulfill the purpose of that selection.
Today I want to remind you that God chose you and has a wonderful purpose for you. If you are reflecting on these words today, it is because God has been interested in you for a long time and wants to remind you that God’s love chose you. Jeremiah was chosen in his time to fulfill a purpose. On this occasion, God is addressing you, reminding you that you are loved and needed in this world.

Question to Ponder:
How do you feel when you recognize that God has chosen you?
God, thank you for choosing me. I know you have a purpose for me, and I trust that you will fulfill your purpose in me. Thank you that what you have begun, you will finish. Amen.
Walk in faith! When you don’t know which way to go, God’s love and God’s word will show you the way you should walk.
