Our text for today is short and sweet. “Everything should be done in love.” Sounds simple, right? Just make sure every single thing we do is done in love. Maybe we have some questions about this.

First, why should we strive to do everything in love? Because God first loved us (1 John 4:19). We have been and are loved more than we can imagine. When we consider the love we’ve experienced from God, it calls us to offer that love to others.

We might also wonder, how do we do everything in love? That requires love to guide our entire lives. Put another way, we need to live in love. Living in love means pausing to remember that God created us and breathed life into us. It means filtering our actions, attitudes, and words through the lens of Christ’s love.
