Journey to the Cross
“I seek you, I seek you.
With fire in my heart.
I seek you, I seek you.
Receive my adoration.
I long for you. I need you.
I love you more than my being.”
Marcos Witt, “Yo te busco” (I Look for You), on the album El Encuentro (The Meeting), 2002.
No temptation has seized you that isn’t common for people. But God is faithful. He won’t allow you to be tempted beyond your abilities. Instead, with the temptation, God will also supply a way out so that you will be able to endure it.
1 Corinthians 10:13
Trials and temptations are part of life; we cannot escape them. But today’s text reminds us that the God we serve never leaves us alone in the midst of our struggles and trials. God is with us during the trials and temptations we may be going through. And what’s even better, knowing our strengths and weaknesses, God promises to give us the way out and the tools to endure whatever comes our way. Even in the most difficult moments, when we feel we can’t take it anymore, God is there to strengthen and guide us. Sometimes God’s strength comes through a biblical meditation, other times through a phone call, while other times through a prayer we receive. The important thing is that God never leaves us nor forsakes us.
For this reason, it is worthwhile to seek God. In God’s presence we find strength and direction. Let us trust in God and continue our search for God’s presence. That will position us to receive the divine help needed to overcome any challenge.

Question to Ponder:
What goes through your mind when you hear that, in the midst of the trial, God will give you the way out?
My strength, thank you that you never leave me alone in trial. Help me to trust that you will always sustain me and give me your guidance. One area where I need your guidance today is…
Amen.
The Lord who loves you reminds you in Jeremiah 29:13, “They will seek me and find me, for they will seek me with their whole heart.”
