Ordinary Time
Stop for a moment. Take a deep breath. God’s Spirit is closer than you imagine, moving in your life even now. Open your heart to listen.
Lord, you have done so many things! You made them all so wisely! The earth is full of your creations! And then there’s the sea, wide and deep, with its countless creatures—living things both small and large.
Psalm 104:24-25
Sometimes we go so fast that we forget to look around us. Creation becomes background, not focus. But our psalm for today invites us to stop and look: the earth is full of life. The Spirit of God is not only at work in people. God’s Spirit is also present in everything created: in the movement of the sea, in the animals, in the wind, in the cycles of nature. This means that the Spirit is constantly surrounding us. The Spirit is not limited to a place or a moment. The Spirit is active, creating, sustaining, and renewing.
When we pay attention, we begin to notice that presence. A beautiful sunset, the sound of rain, the smell of wet grass, the rhythm of life. Everything can become a reminder that we are not alone. Being filled with the Spirit also means learning to see. To recognize life as a gift and to care for what God has created. Today, perhaps, the Spirit is speaking to you through the simple, through what we often ignore.

Question to Ponder:
Where have you seen God’s presence in creation recently?
Creator Spirit, open my eyes to see you in the world. Teach me to take care of the life around me. Make me more aware of your presence. Amen.
Go out into the world with care and courage. God’s Spirit goes with you, guiding your steps and working through your life to bring love, justice, and hope.
