May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.

Romans 15:13

Listen

Now his grace is revealed through the appearance of our savior, Christ Jesus. He destroyed death and brought life and immortality into clear focus through the good news. I was appointed a messenger, apostle, and teacher of this good news. This is also why I’m suffering the way I do, but I’m not ashamed. I know the one in whom I’ve placed my trust. I’m convinced that God is powerful enough to protect what he has placed in my trust until that day.

2 Timothy 1:10-12

Think

“The grace of God.” That short statement is loaded with so much. We know this grace through Jesus Christ – how he lived, what he taught, and what he did for us. To me that word grace (at just five letters) is the biggest word in all the Bible. It’s so big that it covers our mistakes. It’s so big that it embraces us when we feel unembraceable. It’s so big that “nothing we can do can separate us from the love of God” (Rom. 8:39).

And here’s the kicker… it’s given to us freely. It’s not dependent upon us; what we do or don’t do. In fact, there isn’t anything we can do to earn it, deserve it, or win it. God gives us grace simply because we are claimed and loved by God.

That’s the gift of the grace of God, freely given to you, to me, to us all. Trust in God’s grace and let it feed your faith, so that in it, you may grow into the fullness of who God made you to be.
