Think

There’s always been a part of me that wanted to find a treasure map. I wanted to find an old, yellowed piece of paper with an “X” that marked the spot! I imagine that the journey to the treasure can often be just as rewarding as finding the treasure itself. It is with that attitude that I hope we can look for God’s path for us. Instead of plodding our way through life, we can choose to look for what’s next with hearts full of joy!

God hopes that we will look to God for help and for answers when we are uncertain. God promises to show us what’s ahead if we will simply lean in close, listen well, and follow God’s instructions. When we draw closer to God and follow God’s hopes for us, our hearts can be filled with joy for the journey!

Dear God, thank you for being the best treasure I can imagine! Help me to look for you when I might be tempted to look for joy in other things. I am so glad you are with me on my journey of life! Amen.
