Pause

What would it be like to see Jesus - really see Jesus - just as he was, and just as he is? Chances are, no matter what our current ideas, if we saw Jesus clearly we would be surprised.

Seeing Jesus clearly is not a matter simply of his physical makeup, but of the character and spirit of who Jesus is.

Take time for another look at Jesus now, and prepare to learn something new about how you see him.

Listen

Now among those who went up to worship at the festival were some Greeks. They came to Philip, who was from Bethsaida in Galilee, and said to him, “Sir, we wish to see Jesus.”

John 12:20-21

Think

What does Jesus look like? Take a minute and Google images of Jesus. (We’ll wait on you!)

There are thousands of images: young, old, long hair and beard, curly hair and smiling, red, yellow, black, white, brown. The more important question is, “What does Jesus look like to YOU?”

The Greeks came with a simple request, “We would like to see Jesus.” So would we! Look today into the eyes of the Risen Christ – in the homeless person, the little child, your bff’s.

On your journey today and in the days to come, look for Jesus. You might be amazed at what you see.
