Ordinary Time
To live in relationship with God is to open my heart every day to God’s wisdom, love, and Spirit, allowing God to transform my life.
“I have much more to say to you, but you can’t handle it now. However, when the Spirit of Truth comes, he will guide you in all truth. He won’t speak on his own, but will say whatever he hears and will proclaim to you what is to come.”
John 16:12-13
Loneliness can sometimes be a bit overwhelming and worrisome. At times we can feel confused and bewildered by the unknowns of life. But Jesus assured his disciples that they would not be alone, and sent the Holy Spirit to guide and accompany them in the midst of their doubts and uncertainties. God loves us so much and wants to have a relationship with us that God makes sure we feel accompanied.
In the midst of uncertainty, God moves through the Holy Spirit to reveal to us God’s presence, will, and truth. Jesus demonstrates a deep sensitivity and connection to our human, spiritual, and emotional condition. Jesus recognizes human difficulties, for he himself has experienced them, and he does not leave us alone in the processes of growth in life and in our spiritual journey.
