Ordinary Time

Pause

Open your eyes.

Open your ears.

Open your heart.

Trust Jesus to lead the way.

Listen

When they landed, they saw a fire there, with fish on it, and some bread. Jesus said to them, “Bring some of the fish that you’ve just caught.” Simon Peter got up and pulled the net to shore. It was full of large fish, one hundred fifty-three of them. Yet the net hadn’t torn, even with so many fish.

John 21:9-11

Think

There is something marvelous about a campfire in the wee hours of the morning, right as the sun rises on the horizon. God’s beauty unfolds in radiant campfire colors in the sky.

Jesus meets us in the mundane and in the magical moments of our lives.

Today, light a candle or sit in the sun. Feel the warm glow on your skin. See how the light illuminates the world around you. Think about Jesus and his love for all God’s children. Open your eyes to the fire of God’s love. Open your heart and share the love of Christ with those you meet today. Share the warmth of God’s love wherever you find yourself today: in class, buying groceries, getting gas, walking your dog, waiting in line.

Take the warmth of God’s grace wherever you are.
