And trust that God will guide you with a path and purpose.
Love should be shown without pretending. Hate evil, and hold on to what is good. Love each other like the members of your family. Be the best at showing honor to each other.
Romans 12:9-10
Since we are talking about renewing our minds, we also must renew our love. If you do not love God, yourself, and others, you are stuck on the road. Have you been in a car ride when, suddenly, a tire went flat? The car can’t move, and your destination becomes more distant. The same thing happens when you don’t love honestly. You get stuck, because you see the road, the map, and even the people as enemies. Instead of enjoying the journey, you focus on the negative things.
God is inviting you to consider love as the impulse of your journey to get to your destination. You don’t have to get there alone. Reconciliation with that friend who doesn’t speak to you, love for that person who hurt you, and peace with yourself are important kingdom values for the continuity of the journey. God’s gift to you is family and friends who push you to continue to experience purpose in your life.

Question to Ponder:
What decisions do you have to make to complete this journey that God is calling you to?
God, help me renew my love for others.
I want to love others just as you do, honoring them, being like family to them.
God, help me to get there with hope.
Amen.
