Ordinary Time

Pause

Time cannot be turned back. That is why it is necessary to evaluate if you are making the most of every moment God allows you to have. Stop and see if you are enjoying everything God has prepared for you and if what you do leads you to be a witness of God’s glory!

Listen

Jesus said to them, “These are my words that I spoke to you while I was still with you—that everything written about me in the Law from Moses, the Prophets, and the Psalms must be fulfilled.” Then he opened their minds to understand the scriptures. He said to them, “This is what is written: the Christ will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, and a change of heart and life for the forgiveness of sins must be preached in his name to all nations, beginning from Jerusalem. You are witnesses of these things. Look, I’m sending to you what my Father promised, but you are to stay in the city until you have been furnished with heavenly power.”

He led them out as far as Bethany, where he lifted his hands and blessed them. As he blessed them, he left them and was taken up to heaven. They worshipped him and returned to Jerusalem overwhelmed with joy. And they were continuously in the temple praising God.

Luke 24:44-53

Think

How much time do you spend telling others what the Lord has done in your life? In this time in which we live it is necessary that others know about the power of God that is manifested in our hearts. We cannot be silent about God’s work in our lives. Being silent takes away the opportunity for others to receive the forgiveness and salvation that Christ offers.

If God has chosen you to be a witness to all that God does for and in you, you are called to proclaim it. God has equipped you to accomplish the task. Open your lips and begin to testify to God’s work in you so that others will believe. Your experiences, your struggles, and your victories can be light in the midst of someone else’s darkness. Every story is a testimony of all the possibilities God offers us.

Question to Ponder:

Are you willing to be an instrument of witness where you are today?

Pray

Lord, I recognize that you have enabled me to continue to proclaim your word. Help me not to be afraid to share what you give me. You have allowed me to be a witness of your work in my life, and you desire that others may also experience you. Use me Lord, I am in your hands. Amen.

Go

Dare to testify to the great things God has done in you. Every day is a new opportunity to see God’s glory manifested in every detail of your life. You are a perfect work in God’s hands!
