Ordinary Time
The creator of heaven and earth knows you and wants to show care for your life every day.
Reflection on Psalm 27:4
There are different spiritual gifts but the same Spirit; and there are different ministries and the same Lord; and there are different activities but the same God who produces all of them in everyone.
1 Corinthians 12:4-6
One of the gifts that surprises me most about God is the abilities God gives to different people in the church. What are those gifts that God has placed in you? The beauty of understanding diversity is appreciating that we are not all the same, and that is a blessing that creates room for growth. You may already be clear on this idea and have a sense of gratitude for your gifts and the gifts of people around you. Or you may be in the process of discovering and developing your perspective on the gifts God gives each of us.
Whatever the case, Paul reminds us to recognize that no matter how different the capabilities God has placed in each of us, we are all valuable. The Holy Spirit empowers us in different ways to serve all those around us and to bring glory to God in all things.
