Journey to the Cross
God is with us and gives us hope. When things feel heavy, and we are afraid, angry, or bewildered, God holds us close and goes with us.
Come, let’s sing out loud to the Lord! Let’s raise a joyful shout to the rock of our salvation! Let’s come before him with thanks! Let’s shout songs of joy to him! The Lord is a great God, the great king over all other gods. The earth’s depths are in his hands; the mountain heights belong to him; the sea, which he made, is his along with the dry ground, which his own hands formed.
Psalm 95:1-5
We are attentive to the voice of God, the voice that resounds among these verses of praise and invites us to recognize the divine presence in all that surrounds us. The verses in our psalm for today call us to observe God’s power in both the simple and the complex. We behold a glory that transcends our understanding. Creation reminds us that we are not alone on this journey.
God’s steadfastness and guidance are present in the low and in the high, in times of joy and in times of deep sorrow. Today is an excellent time for you to reflect on how you recognize God’s presence in your life. Even in the midst of conflict, uncertainty, or pain, we can know that God remains at work in love and justice.

Question to Ponder:
In what aspect of your day are you able to feel the presence of God?
God of heaven, let us recognize your presence; be with us today, and with those in areas of conflict or fear. Be our hope, our rock, and our salvation. Amen.
God is our salvation and hope. Our work is to bring God’s kingdom of peace by the power of love in our thoughts, words, and actions.
