Jesus replied, “My kingdom doesn’t originate from this world. If it did, my guards would fight so that I wouldn’t have been arrested by the Jewish leaders. My kingdom isn’t from here.”

Think

I believe that through obedience we achieve blessing, but, at times, I despair when I do not understand the magnitude of God’s plan for my life. I don’t know if it has happened to you, but it seems to me that God is an expert in unexpected twists and turns. At first glance, God’s plan of salvation through Jesus Christ, extending God’s kingdom to reach us, may seem crazy. I mean, Jesus’ death on a cross was unexpected. It was an injustice. It definitely sounds like an out-of-this-world idea!

While Jesus’ accusers sought a death sentence, he admitted to being king and only focused on sharing the mission regardless of such injustice. He did not focus on the circumstance; he focused on remaining true to his purpose. Even injustice can be used by God to demonstrate eternal love for creation. It is up to us to be obedient and realize that we cannot have full revelation except through Christ, who must be our greatest influence today.

Could you remain obedient in the face of injustice for Christ’s sake?
