FAQs

We use the Common English Bible because it is simple to understand, and used by many of our sponsoring congregations. You can read the CEB here.

The first and last steps of the devotion (Pause and Go) stay the same all week. The idea is that the Pause statement is a centering statement that prepares you for hearing a word from the Lord, and so we hope this statement will allow you to take a breath and pause for a moment before heading onto the next step.

D365 follows the church year, so there are special seasons of the church, like Advent and Lent. You will notice the colors change during these times. We will also change the colors each August for our Back2School series for students making that annual Fall ritual.

Yes, you can! You can fill out this form, and it will be seen by the d365 editorial staff. We like feedback and new ideas! We will also hold your prayer concern in confidence.

See the magnifying glass …? You can type in a word or phrase that you would like to search, for example: “God’s love,” or “I’m lonely,” then hit return, and a group of devotions will pull up, and you can read one to see if it gets at what you are looking for. On the app, you can then swipe right, or on the website, hit the back arrow to get back to your search list, to try again. You can also start a new search at any time. You can also search for the name of a writer you like to see if they have written before. And finally, you can search by date, so if you missed a few days, you can go back and catch up!

Yes! To lead this with a group, you might read aloud the Pause, Listen, and Think sections and then ask the provided question to ponder to the larger group. You could also add additional questions here to foster discussion. Prior to the Pray section, you may ask for prayer requests and celebrations, followed by your own prayer, ending with the d365 prayer. Then, you could share the Go statement as your group breaks up.

Devotions are written by ministers, professors, students, teachers, missionaries, denominational leaders, and others who work with and care for students. If you are interested in being a writer, please email [email protected]. If you are interested in composing and recording music for d365.org, please send an email to [email protected] and include a sample of your work.

The d365 devotional site is produced by Passport Camps, a national nonprofit ministry that offers camps, conferences, and resources for students. d365 is generously sponsored by The Congregational Office of the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship, The Youth Ministries Office of The Episcopal Church, and The Presbyterian Youth and Triennium Office and Ministries/ PCUSA. These denominations contribute financially to ensure the site remains free to all users.
